ASB Plans to Hold a Winter Sports Rally

Following the conclusion of winter sports, Associated Student Body (ASB) has started planning a revamped Spirit Week leading up to a winter sports night rally, instead of holding a traditional lunch rally in the gym.

The question is, “Should ASB hold a winter sports night rally?”

As your ASB President, I believe there is much to look forward to in these upcoming months, including new events such as the night rally. For the second time (in recent years), there’s going to be a winter sports night rally during Spirit Week, and this year’s is shaping up to be the best it has ever been.

This year’s night rally has been inspired by Robby Villanueva's past held night rally which gave students the opportunity to be more engaged and show off their school spirit. Every year, we go to SHS fall sports night rallies to judge their highly decorated, themed, spirited class walls and spirited student body. We’re always looking for new ways to make Spirit Week more fun and exciting and we think the night rally can do that. If all goes as plan, expect to see a recap video of all winter sports among other competitions and games at the rally.

As of now, ASB does not have a theme and the winter sports night rally is still being planned and has yet to be approved by administration. There still is no set date, but it will be planned for mid February.
