Aztec Loss: Impawsible

Last Friday, the Soledad Aztecs took a 46-0 win against the Greenfield Bruins at their Senior Night Game. Some may say it was “unbearable” to watch as a Greenfield Bruin. Nevertheless, the Aztecs kept a very good defense throughout the whole game; so good that Greenfield Bruin running back, Hector Ramirez, fell only eight yards short of breaking the Greenfield single season rushing record.

With every Senior hitting the field, the Soledad Aztecs offense shined the whole night. Aaron Rodriguez had an incredible 47 yard touchdown catch with Andrew Hernandez, Miguel Gonzalez and Emmanuel Ortega all adding touchdowns to the scoreboard as well. The Aztecs now hold a 6-1 record in league, and have seeded No. 2 in Division IV. This win has only further pumped up our Aztecs as they take on Silver Creek High this Friday at the first playoff game, the same team they faced at last year’s opening Central Coast Section Playoffs.

Hosting their first ever home playoff game, be sure to come out this Friday at 7pm and show your support for our Soledad Aztecs. Let’s pack Gene Stadium!
